Fashion Galore

Ok, so I'm totally behind on posting some of my favorite celebrity looks from the past few weeks. I apologize for overwhelming you with them all at once, but I had to get a bunch of emails out of my inbox. It was making my OCD flare up!

Which one is YOUR favorite??

Tulip Skirt

Forever 21, $15.80

Urban Outfitters, $58

I want a tulip skirt! I want to wear it with (warning: politically incorrectly named) a wife-beater. I want it!!!

Have I mentioned that I am done with work a week from tomorrow? Or that I leave for England/Greece three weeks from tomorrow?

Or that I haven't had DSL at home for a week now....

Adult Acne Glycolic Peel

Somehow I stopped using this as much during the drier winter. A few weeks ago, I eased back into it almost every other day and...wow, what a difference in my skin. It is smoother, clearer and brighter.

Still a miracle worker--a discontinued miracle worker. I got a few boxes at Marshall's last fall.

I love the combination of glycolic and salicylic acid in it. Works wonders.

Natural Highlights

My hair is getting more and more gray strands!

This summer, I'm thinking about letting my natural sun highlights come in, rather than dyeing it with a darker (albeit demi permanent) brown.

I got this from Glamour and may try it...while lying out on the beach in Greece next month!

The Summer-Highlights CocktailWant sun-kissed highlights like Selena Gomez's? Salon Eiji's Michael Murphy says brunettes can DIY it by taking this "cocktail" with you next time you hit the beach. "Mix equal parts lemon juice and vodka and put it in a spritzer bottle," says Murphy. "Take a dip in the pool, then spritz your ends with the cocktail, starting at the ear level down, and let dry in the sun or hit with the blow-dryer." It gently lightens your hair for a more naturally sun-kissed look than a lot of salon highlights; color will be strongest on the lengths, where sun hits. And since the results are subtle, you don't need to worry about pricey touch-ups and the awkward grow-out phase.

DSL Issues

I have so many cute things to update about...such as a perfect drugstore tinted moisturizer that I've tested against a $37 Shiseido one! And other fun, fun things...

...BUT, my home DSL is down. I write this quickly from work!

I'll be back soon.

Bacne

Summer's on its way...meaning more sweat. No other way to say it. Sweat can clog pores, and cause bacne (body acne.) This product isn't specifically made for bacne, but I'm really liking it. It helps fade scars in addition to preventing the bacne. I'm all about preventing breakouts on both my face and back. So far, this does the trick. The product I used to use was discontinued.

If you have a big breakout of bacne, try using a toner as well twice a day (something with salicylic acid, to unclog pores.) I highly recommend my favorite toner--for face, fading scars, body or ingrown hairs. It's amazing!

Another Deal!

So, over a year ago, I ended my quest for my Holy Grail mascara with Imju Fiberwig (I wrote about it here.) I am part Korean and have very Asian eyelashes--short and straight. Since volume isn't a big deal to me, I fell in love with the lengthening and curling action of Fiberwig. It is also a tube mascara, waterproof as it forms little tubes around each lash. It comes off in tubes with warm water.

It is $22 at Sephora, which I have accepted. I only buy it every four months, so I have paid it. Well, I happened to be reading reviews on one of my favorite sites, Makeup Alley, and someone mentioned getting it for $13 on sasa.com. Of course, I quickly looked into it. It is the Asian version, called Dejavu Fiberwig. Ahhh, I had read that it was the bestseller in Japan.

Anyways, it was sold out on there, but I did a search on ebay for "dejavu fiberwig"--much cheaper than the American version "imju fiberwig."

Long story, I got it for $13.99 with free shipping! Yippee!!

Sephora Musings

I popped into Sephora over the weekend, completely bare-faced. I wanted to play with Benefit Erase Paste in the #1 shade, and some tinted moisturizers. I put the Erase Paste on one side and was amazed. The fair shade is so much better on me. I can use it under my eyes and on blemishes, and around my nose where I get red creases. I used my store credit from returning Coralista (which looked super bright and fake on me) and went home with this wonderful (but not perfect, see here) product.

I also played with NARS The Multiple in Malibu. Wonderful. It was the perfect pinky brown shimmer, looked great on both my lips and cheeks. How I long for it...but at $37, so not going to happen.
