I'm also in the process of deciding on highlights. It's all very exciting, but also scary since I haven't changed my hair color in seven years. I have been very set on the super dark brown demi permanent color I use. Glossy, long lasting, and darker.
Before:
(airdryed this morning, flat ironed bangs, used Moroccan Oil and Sunsilk Waves of Envy)
After:
(straightened, as they always do to see my layers)

Very cute! I keep going in with the intention of getting bangs like that, but chickening out at the last minute. Maybe I really will do it this time now that I see how good it looks on you!
You're so sweet, Amy. This is the longest I've had them for. The past five years have been cycles of cutting and then re-growing them.
They're so easy. Either I blow dry and flat iron them (leaving the rest of my hair to air dry), or use my nifty wet-to-dry flat iron. I clip them back every other day.
